Terms of Use

1. Service and requirements

CallPilot connects your own supported modem and SIM card to a mobile app and optional AI calling features. You must provide compatible hardware, an active carrier plan, an always-available Edge computer, internet access, and any third-party model or media accounts required by your configuration. Carrier charges remain your responsibility.

2. Acceptable use

You may use CallPilot only with a SIM and devices that you own or are authorized to control, and only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to:

• make fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, or unlawful calls or messages;
• impersonate another person without authorization;
• conduct prohibited robocalling, spam, bulk solicitation, or evade carrier safeguards;
• gain access to another person's messages, recordings, calls, or credentials; or
• interfere with the service, probe for credentials, or bypass security and usage controls.

3. Calls, recordings, and synthetic voice

You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to calling, messaging, recording, and AI-generated or synthetic speech. Recording is off by default. Where consent or disclosure is required, you must obtain it before recording and clearly disclose that an AI is participating. Do not rely on CallPilot for emergency services, safety-critical communication, medical advice, legal advice, or financial decisions.

4. AI output

AI can misunderstand callers, select the wrong action, or produce inaccurate statements. You must review important outcomes and remain responsible for instructions given to the AI and actions taken through your accounts. Model provider terms also apply when you configure a third-party provider.

5. Security and account control

Keep pairing codes and devices secure. Revoke a lost device promptly. Do not share App Review, beta, or device credentials with unauthorized people. You are responsible for activity performed through a credential until it is revoked.

6. Availability and beta features

Some features remain in beta and may change, fail, or be withdrawn. Mobile networks, USB modems, cloud providers, model providers, and internet connections are outside our control. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, carriers, infrastructure, or legal compliance.

7. Intellectual property and open source

Source code is licensed under the licenses stated in the repository. Those licenses govern your use of the code. The CallPilot name, product identity, hosted service, and materials not covered by an open-source license remain the property of Azores Labs and its licensors.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Azores Labs is not liable for carrier charges, a suspended SIM, missed or failed calls, AI errors, loss of locally stored data, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Ending use and changes

You may stop using CallPilot, unpair devices, and delete local data at any time. We may update these terms; the effective date will change and material updates will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
